How do maths teachers face the challenge of probability and statistics in the classroom?

In this minicourse, students will be asked to reflect on the changes to the curriculum, their knowledge of statistics and how it relates to 21st century learning. Statistical language and communication including digital approaches will be considered. Students will also have the opportunity to engage with and learn about existing and new content in the mathematics curriculum from Years 6 to 12.

  • Demonstrate advanced reasoning, problem solving, fluency and understanding in the thinking, teaching, and doing of statistics and probability
  • Communicate probability and statistics concepts to target audiences, including through use of ICTs

Assessment
