This minicourse illustrates how to construct an effective testing instrument for reading assessment. You will evaluate existing theories and industry best practice, and develop your own assessment instrument. You will then be asked to justify your design decisions.

Darren Dickson has worked for many years as a trainer of multicultural teams with a focus on ESL/EFL and LOTE. He has more recently worked in an academic role at USQ leading post-graduate courses on language and literacy assessment and language program management. Darren is currently undertaking his PhD, focusing on adaptive leadership in language teaching organisations.
