Building a culture of continuous improvement

Learning to effectively give feedback is a vital skill for leaders.

This course will show you how to give effective feedback to enhance the performance and expectations of your team. You will apply specialist knowledge of tools, models and techniques to deliver feedback within your professional context.

This course has a four-week teaching period requiring a total of approximately 40 hours of learning. All course learning materials are available on demand.

  • A feedback plan
  • Scripts for feedback
  • Justification
  • This optional assessment is due at the beginning of week 7

University level expertise
Cecily Andersen lectures in coaching, mentoring and educational subjects at the University of Southern Queensland. She is an experienced leader, mentor and coach, with over 40 years of experience in the education sector. Her research interests include social justice, leadership in complex contexts, and how school leaders use coaching and mentoring to build capacity in others.

Professional Conversations - Feedback can be taken as a stand-alone course, or it can be completed as one of four Microcredentials that stack together for credit for the one unit course Mentoring and Coaching (EDU8400).
